Newway can be asked to provide material certification reports for copper die castings, but the exact document package must be confirmed in the quotation and quality plan. A certificate of conformance, upstream material certificate, chemistry report, conductivity result, mechanical test and heat-treatment record are different documents. Traceability can link purchased alloy, melt or charge, casting date, machine, die cavity, heat-treatment load, machining batch, finish lot and shipment. More detailed linkage costs more and may constrain metal return. Select the level from consequence of failure and regulatory or customer requirements.
Agree how identification remains attached after runners are removed and parts are mixed through downstream operations. If individual serialization is unnecessary, a controlled batch traveler may be sufficient. The report should identify the same lot definition used on labels and shipment records.
An incoming ingot, melt sample, separately cast coupon and finished casting are not interchangeable. Chemistry from a melt sample may establish alloy composition but not local mechanical behavior.
