Engage in a Collaborative Quotation Process

Securing a precise and competitive quotation for your die casting project requires a collaborative exchange of key information. At Newway, we have structured our quotation process to be transparent and efficient, ensuring the price you receive accurately reflects a manufacturing plan tailored to your specifications, volume, and quality expectations. Providing comprehensive project details from the outset is the most effective way to eliminate assumptions and prevent unforeseen costs later.

Provide Comprehensive Part Design Data

The foundation of any accurate quote is a clear and complete definition of your component. The more data you can provide, the more precise our estimate will be.

We strongly encourage you to share 3D CAD models (e.g., STEP, IGS files) and 2D technical drawings. The drawing should clearly specify all critical dimensions, tolerances, geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T), and parting line requirements. This allows our Die Castings Engineering team to perform an initial Design for Manufacturability (DFM) analysis. If your design is still in the conceptual stage, you can leverage our Die Castings Design service to optimize it for cost and production efficiency before finalizing the quote.

Specify Material and Post-Processing Needs

Your choice of alloy and any required secondary operations are significant cost drivers. Clearly defining these parameters is essential.

Please specify the preferred alloy from our extensive range, such as the commonly used A380 Aluminum Alloy for excellent strength and fluidity, or a zinc alloy like Zamak 3 for high precision. You should also detail all required Post Process finishes, whether it's cosmetic Die Castings Painting, durable Die Castings Powder Coating, or precision Die Castings Post Machining for critical features. If your project involves other materials, explore our options for Zinc Die Casting or Copper Die Casting.

Define Project Volumes and Timeline

Your target production volume directly influences the manufacturing strategy and unit price, due to the economics of tooling amortization.

Indicate whether your needs are for initial Rapid Prototyping, pre-production Low Volume Manufacturing, or full-scale Mass Production. Providing an annual usage forecast and expected project lifespan allows us to propose the most cost-effective tooling solution. Furthermore, communicating your target launch date helps us assess and quote against our current production capacity to meet your schedule.

Engage in a Collaborative Quotation Process

Once we receive your information, our internal process begins to build your customized quotation.

Our team will analyze your data and may follow up with questions or a formal DFM report to suggest optimizations. The quote will then detail one-time costs like Tool And Die fabrication and recurring costs per part, including material, casting, and all specified post-processing. For complex projects requiring multiple services, our One-Stop Service model ensures you receive a consolidated quote that covers everything from casting to final assembly, simplifying your supply chain.
